A Summer of Top-Level Football – and Beyond
As the football calendar shifts from pre-season to competition mode, and our dedicated staff turn their focus from club teams to youth national squads, we take a moment to look back on an incredible summer filled with world-class matches, training camps, and unforgettable moments.
B4 Summer Camps: A Record-Breaking Season
This year’s #B4SummerCamps season was one for the books, bringing together an extraordinary mix of professional clubs and national teams.
It all began with FC Shkëndija in Čatež, followed by NK Celje and FC Koper in Kranjska Gora. Soon after, ND Primorje Ajdovščina and KF Vllaznia lit up the pitches in Rogla. The Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia FC arrived next, followed by returning teams Kryvbas Football Club (Ukraine) and FK Čukarički (Serbia).
Croatia was well represented, with HNK Hajduk Split returning to Bled, GNK Dinamo training in Brdo pri Kranju and at the new Football Training Center in Preddvor, and HNK Rijeka marking their 12th consecutive summer camp – this time partly in Austria. We also welcomed FK Železničar Pančevo and NK Široki Brijeg in Čatež, while Hungarian side Újpest FC joined as newcomers, led by a head coach already familiar with our services.
From England came Luton Town Football Club and Charlton Athletic Football Club, while our long-time friends Budafoki MTE Sports Association returned once more. The Croatian contingent was completed by HNK Gorica and HNK Vukovar 1991, before NK Bravo rounded off the club season.
National Teams & Indoor Sports
It wasn’t just about clubs – national teams also found a home here. The Football Association of Slovenia U20 squad prepared in Kranjska Gora in May, while the women’s basketball teams of the Basketball Federation of Slovenia (KZS) and GB Basketball fine-tuned their play ahead of EuroBasket.
As we publish this, the Qatar Football Association U17 national team is already training in Slovenia – a sign that the youth national team autumn season is just around the corner, featuring both the men’s and women’s Slovenia Nations Cup tournaments.
