KRANJSKA GORA
Kranjska Gora is an Alpine treasure in the far north-west of Slovenia, right on the border with Austria and Italy. It is a place that offers many secret spots with breath-taking views of the nearby peaks of the Julian Alps, and at the same time many adventures for the true explorers. The mountain climate in the winter months is particularly suitable for ski and snow enthusiasts, while the slightly cooler temperatures in the summer months are perfect for outdoor sports teams.
This means that our two football training centers are always busy during the summer break. The enviable conditions for training in unspoilt nature attract many football greats. Among them, English top-flight side Luton Town and Croatian side Rijeka have been honing their tactics in the Gobele and Čičare sports parks for years, while Istanbul Basaksehir, Trabzonspor, MOL Fehervar, MTK Budapest and many others have also trained in the past in the valley near Austria and Italy. In addition to club teams from Europe and beyond, many national teams have trained in Kranjska Gora in the past: the Slovenian men’s national team, the French, Russian, Belarusian, Scottish, Slovakian youth national teams, the Croatian women’s national team and many others.
The proximity of the hotel accommodation to the training facilities also plays a major role in the choice of the final location for the sports preparations.There is no more than one kilometre from the Kompas ****, Ramada **** and Ramada Hotel & Suites **** hotels to the Gobele and Čičare sports parks, which, in addition to the main pitch, also include an warm-up pitch and a fitness centre, and the Vitranc sports hall is in the vicinity as well for the indoor athletes. A sports facility in the immediate vicinity of the hotels is an excellent choice for the training camps of basketball teams, as well as for volleyball players, handball players, indoor football players and others. In the past, the Slovenian men’s and women’s national teams, numerous young basketball teams, and handball clubs such as GOG Gudme, Eurofarm Pelister and Trimo Trebnje have all held their training sessions there. The tourist and sports infrastructure and, above all, the idyllic surroundings also make Kranjska Gora an excellent location for the organisation of corporate sports games.
